Enjoying Brickell As A Family In Times Of COVID-19
This summer has looked so different for all of us, especially those living in a condo with children. Condo living is awesome, but it does present it’s challenges to families in times of COVID-19.
Between the Miami blistering sun, cabin fever, and businesses just starting to re-open, you may feel limited in how your family can make memories together.
Here is a quick guide to a safe, fun, and cool day in our neighborhood.
Green Spaces:
Southside Park has a beautiful canopy to protect your little ones from the sun. It has an open green lot perfect for blowing bubbles or flying a kite. It also has a paved sidewalk and a basketball court for more family activities. Personally, our family enjoys visiting the park, and riding our scooters over the paved concrete.
At the end of 25th Road and Brickell Avenue, you and your kids can enjoy the company of a family of manatees that enjoy swimming by. Take a walk towards the end of the day to enjoy the sunset and cooler temperatures.
Dine at Brickell City Center
Luna Park is a traditional Italian restaurant that stays true to its Italian roots. You can kick back and relax, knowing that touch is limited, as they have a scannable and touchless menu, with spacious outdoor seating. Don’t worry, they also have outdoor fans to keep you cool. Your little one will be sure to have a great time, since Luna Park has a pond full of colorful Koi fish. You can count on Luna Park for a safe and fun dining experience.
Dessert:
An extension to Luna Park is a gelato place called Venchi! Venchi gelato is produced solely from selected ingredients such as fresh, high-quality milk. The decor is colorful and fun, and your family can cool down while enjoying a tasty treat.
Shop:
Nini Loli is a family-owned company supplying practical and stylish goods for children of all ages, from newborns and toddlers to big kids. They have a great selection of cars and beautiful dolls to freshen up your children’s toy box at home. My favorite item in their store is the Mima Xari stroller, they are chic, stylish and perfect for any new mama.
