Join us for a day of fun-filled beach cleanup during the International Coastal Cleanup Day! This event is dedicated to protecting and preserving our beautiful marine habitats, so our efforts will go a long way in removing debris that would otherwise end up in the ocean. Thanks to Manny Pozo, owner of Bioresponse, we also have a boat available to clean up ocean debris.
Gather your friends and family and head down to the First Miami Parking Lot to join us in cleaning up our neighborhood. This is a fantastic opportunity for you to connect with nature, make new friends, and contribute to a cleaner environment. This event is organized by the BHA and First Miami and sponsored by Commissioner Eileen Higgins & Miami Management.
Let's work together to protect our precious coastlines!
Be prepared to get your hands dirty as we collect and remove trash from the coastline. Gloves, trash bags, and other cleaning supplies will be provided. Don't forget to wear comfortable clothing and bring sunscreen!

Important Volunteer Information:
Download the Ocean Conservancy’s CleanSwell app to participate in the Citizen Science activity to log, tally and measure the impact of your cleanup. It is easier and more fun than using paper data cards!
Dress for the weather and wear appropriate footwear. You should wear closed toed shoes, and dress for being outdoors in the heat and sun!
Sunglasses, hat, and sunscreen are recommended.
If you have your own reusable working or gardening type gloves, bring them. We will be providing gloves but cannot guarantee they will be in your size.
Please bring water in a reusable container. Let’s reduce waste and refuse single-use disposable plastic water bottles.
To enhance your cleanup experience, some volunteers prefer to use a bucket to collect the debris. Therefore, we kindly ask you to bring your own bucket if you have one available.
