Board Member Round Table Empowers Brickell Community
Living in vertical communities presents a series of unique challenges, from ensuring safety and security to efficiently accommodating thousands of residents, coordinating with city leaders, managing parking, and handling food deliveries, among other things. In response to these challenges, a gathering of industry professionals, board members, and stakeholders convened at Flemings Steakhouse on March 14, 2024, for the Board Member Round Table. This highly anticipated event, sponsored by GlobalPro, Affinity Management Services & BioResponse Restorations, tackled critical industry property management and community issues.
Distinguished guests included State Representative Vicki Lopez and Brickell Commander Andres Valdes. The BHA is grateful for the ongoing support, time, and dedication of State Representative Vicki Lopez, who is involved and aware of our neighborhood's issues. Her advocacy at the State Level has brought welcomed changes and policies that will improve our community. With their extensive knowledge and experience, both guests were able to shed light on significant concerns within their respective areas of expertise.
Guest included board members from many condos that included: BKMA, Biscayne Beach, Brickell on the River, Brickell Biscayne, Brickell Ten Condominium, Icon Brickell, Infinity at Brickell, Ivy Condo, MyBrickell, St. Lois Condo, The Mark on Brickell Bay Drive, The Vue, Nordica, and Three Tequesta Point.
The round-table discussions centered on several topics aimed at enhancing the Brickell community's resilience, navigating legal complexities, and optimizing property management practices. Among the subjects discussed were changes in property laws and condominium regulations, HB 1021 updates, upcoming deadlines, and the implementation of the Structural Integrity Reserve Study.
