Mary Brickell Village Roadway & Drainage Improvements Project Update

The Mary Brickell Village & SW 1 Avenue Roadway & Drainage Improvements Project is nearing completion of Phase 1. This project included: restoring pavement, improving drainage, installed new concrete sidewalks, new ADA ramps, and more.

WORK COMPLETED: - Phase III Construction of Mary Brickell Village

• SW 7th Street to SW 8th Street – milling, resurfacing and temporary striping work is complete on this segment! – Permanent striping has been placed.

• SW 9th Street to SW 11th Street – manholes adjusting and leveling work on these three streets (SW 9th, 10thand 11th Streets on SW 1st Avenue)

• SW 9th Street - Drainage Work - 9th street drainage work completed, also area between S. Miami & SW 1st Avenue is milled & resurfaced with temporary striping placed.

• SW 11th Street - milling, resurfacing and temporary striping work is complete on this segment! – permanent striping has been placed at SW 11th Street between S. Miami & SW 1st Avenue

• SW 12 Street - milling, resurfacing and temporary striping work is complete on this segment! – Permanent striping have been placed at SW 12th street between S. Miami & SW 1st Avenue.

PENDING WORK: 

• SW 10TH Street- The City and its contractors are inspecting the drainage system on SW 10th street to ensure it meets the intended design & construction, this will entail videotaping, desilting and repairs, once completed, we will mill, resurface and temporary stripe the area at SW 10th street & SW 1st Avenue between SW 8th street and SW 10th street.

• SW 1ST Avenue - (Work is being performed one lane at a time, from North to South –street cannot be completely closed)- Milling & Resurfacing have been completed between south of 10th street to SW 15th road with temporary striping placed.

Phase IV : In the future, the City intends to reconstruct the area between S. Miami Avenue and Brickell Plaza on SW 9th Street and Brickell Plaza in the first quarter of 2023.
